In a world that is ever changing, finding consistency, safety, and lasting peace is a challenge. We search in empty promises and in fickle actions to answer the question of “will this be okay?” and “am I enough?”... and it all leads us back to here. Where is here you may ask. Here is the present, the moment that elapses between a dream and the slow but somehow so sudden realization that you are awake and conscious. In that moment when reality kicks in, you may feel the weight of life settle in. In moments of silence and solitude like these, what do you think of, who do you imagine to be there, and what are you expecting to feel?

The goal for today’s episode is to try and suggest some ways in which we all can come back to ourselves, spiritually and with grace. Three techniques that get my mind moving and my heart more at peace are as follows: 1. Breathwork 2. Creative expression and 3. Core belief assessment

“Achieving love” is therefore not some binary moment of starting and sustaining a relationship. It is following the turns that life takes you through and becoming someone who is safe, complete, warm and supportive, for yourself and those in your life. Love from others is not the end result. You yourself are the love, the embodiment of it. That being, you encompass this electric energy of a human being, one who is constantly unearthing layers of themselves and being a beacon of light for others. That, my friends, is love. You are the love.

As we all know, events can stray far from what we expected and, dare I say, even planned. Freedom therefore lies in the release of such expectations. It lies in knowing that our own minds are the only constant as the world and our day to day lives inevitably shift. I hope I am relaying the message too that grandeur and a “good life” per say are more than what money can afford. Therefore detachment from comfort, consistency and security is just as important a skill to adapt as detachment from social luxuries.

Believing that at your core you are good and your intentions are pure is critical to peace of mind. We are bound to, in fact it is certain, we will make mistakes in our lives. We will hurt the ones we love, we will fall victim to our vices, we will manage to let our egos get the best of us. We shouldn’t apologize simply in order to place a bandage on a much deeper problem. Instead, we must take time to carefully unravel the issue.
