In the Garden of Eden, we saw rejection. In the Temple, we saw ritual. But, in “The Stable,” Pastor Dave Gustavsen shares good news: relationship is made possible – for all people! Because Christmas happened, we can have a real-time, interactive, surprising, fulfilling, comforting, empowering relationship with our Creator. We must respond by humbly receiving Jesus as our personal Savior and Lord. And then, as believers, intentionally live the way Jesus lived. Dave Gustavsen | December 17, 2023

This Advent, we’re focusing on the concept of Emmanuel, meaning “God with us.” In “The Temple,” Pastor Dave Gustavsen traces the story from the Garden of Eden to the Temple, where we see loss and restoration of Emmanuel. The Temple was meant to reconnect people with God, but it came with problems. Thankfully, in the stable in Bethlehem, Jesus came as the “true and better Temple.” As we enjoy Christmas traditions and rituals, let’s remember the reason why -- God is with us. In “The Garden,” Pastor Ted Voltmer teaches from the story of Adam and Eve, where we see how doubt and questioning God’s goodness impacts our connection to God. But more importantly, we see God show up, seeking after Adam and Eve in order to extend forgiveness and restoration. And, He does the same thing in our lives! God’s Grace is such a hard concept to understand, but embracing it is the key to enjoying His Presence. Ted Voltmer | December 3, 2023

In “The Gift of Possessions,” Pastor Dave Gustavsen teaches that the secret to generosity always starts with God and His grace towards us. We have freely received so much from Him, without deserving it. Understanding God’s grace enables us to be more generous with what we have and share our riches with others - joyfully, intentionally, increasingly and freely. Dave Gustavsen | November 26, 2023

“Belonging – Come to the Table” is a message on true belonging. Special needs/disability inclusion is not just a catchy phrase, nor an optional ministry to highlight. It is what allows countless individuals to enter the halls of God’s house and belong. Is a warm welcome enough, or does truly loving like Jesus mean we are willing to go to some lengths in order that “His house will be full?” Sib Nafziger-Charles | November 19, 2023

In a world full of so many distractions, sometimes just being present is a huge gift we can give to someone else. In “The Gift of Presence,” Pastor Dave Gustavsen shares how there is no better way to live than freely giving our presence to those that God has placed in our lives. Dave Gustavsen | November 5, 2023

In “Childlike Curiosity,” Pastor Dave Gustavsen teaches from the life of Jesus, who at age of twelve, sat among the teachers at the temple, listening to them and asking them questions. Jesus’ example should cause us to ask ourselves three questions: who are we spending time with, are we listening, and are we asking questions? Our curiosity should be directed towards God’s Word, world, and people. The gospel message enables us to live in this way, because it shifts our focus from self to the world and people.
