Charlie Pallilo began the show wishing all listeners a Happy New Year. He then dived into the Houston Texans wild card game Saturday, January 4, 2020, against the Buffalo Bills. He discussed possible matchups if the Texans win or lose. Further, JJ Watt will return to play Saturday. The University of Houston men’s basketball American Athletic Conference opener is Friday, January 3, 2020, head coach Kelvin Sampson joined the show. Sampson believes the team has evolved despite losing so many key players.

Charlie began hour 2 debriefing the NFL playoffs beginning Saturday. Also, Lebron James played his first game yesterday as a 35-year-old after celebrating a birthday Monday. Tiger Woods also celebrated his 44th birthday on Monday. Charlie also debriefed some of the bowl results for college football. Ed Oliver with the Buffalo Bills is coming home this weekend to take on the Texans in his first pro playoff game.  Bills last won a playoff game on December 30, 1995. Lastly, NBA Commissioner David Stern passed away yesterday at the age of 77. Charlie sends his condolences.
