Charlie starts off hour number one with his reaction to Justin Verlander’s third career no-hitter. Then he discusses the Astros’ bullpen issues and what should they do with Roberto Osuna. Is Yordan Alvarez the next Willie McCovey? Next, Charlie gives his thoughts on the Jadeveon Clowney trade, and other moves the Texans made over the weekend.

Charlie starts hour number two with his thoughts on the Astros matchup versus the Milwaukee Brewers, and he looks ahead the Astros potential playoff opponents. Then Charlie gives commentary on Team USA’s narrow victory over Turkey in basketball. Next, he discusses the Astros’ bullpen issues and what should they do with Roberto Osuna. Should Will Harris close more games instead of Osuna? Charlie ends the show discussing the Notre Dame-Louisville football game.

He starts the show speaking about the first full Saturday of college football and upcoming games, reviews what should be highlights of the games, and gives his opinion on which will be the best games. He then talks about the saga that is the Houston Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney and what could be in his future. Charlie continues explaining preseason games and that today the 70 men rosters will be getting cut to 53. He moves on to MLB to speak about the Houston Astros, their standing, recaps last night’s game against Tampa Bay Rays last night, and what were the factors to their losing outcome. Charlie then recaps the Texas A&M Aggies football game win last night against Texas State Bobcats and then gives his input on upcoming games. Ryan Fitzpatrick beats by Josh Rosen to be named as Miami Dolphins starting QB for week 1.

Charlie is out of the studio today and is at Nick’s Place. Houston Astros start their series against the Toronto Blue Jays with starting pitcher Wade Miley. He talks about Rookie Yordan Alvarez and his performance thus far with the Astros. Charlie then speaks about MLB teams, standings, upcoming games, and possible MVPs and ROY. NFL releases a statistical list of top players and teams during the preseason. Charlie talks about how the Texans season might possibly be for this upcoming season with all the obstacles they have been facing.

Charlie kicks the show off preaching the importance of home field advantage for the Astros in the postseason and breaks down the aces in the Astros’ rotation.  Next, he shares some interesting stats from last night’s win over the Rays. Then ESPN LA Rams reporter Lindsey Thiry joins the show ahead of the Rams-Texans preseason matchup.

Phil Steele joins Charlie to preview this weekend’s college football action including Phil’s analysis of Texas A&M, Clemson and much more. Then Charlie goes over the news around baseball before deriding the NFL preseason and previewing the Texans season.
