When Miss Van Allan’s aunt Emma dies she leaves her entire estate to her beloved cat Stanley with a weekly stipend of $500 to be paid to a distance niece Mrs Bird from Brooklyn whom she referred to as the only member of her family who never asked her for money in return for her for taking care of the cat. Mrs Bird will only receive the money whilst Stanley is in her care and Miss Van Allan is none too happy. When Stanley goes missing the chase is on to find him and become the benefactor.
