There’s a troubling legal argument circulating, ‘Australia the Concealed Colony’, that challenges everything we think we know about Australian sovereignty: that despite presenting itself to the world as an independent nation, Australia is a colony under British rule.

 The claim is that Australia is recognized as an independent sovereign nation state and a UN member, yet our governments remain extensions of UK governance.

Australian politicians, under this interpretation, are agents of a foreign power - Britain - not representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia’s people.

The implications are profound. 

If true, Australians have been denied their right to self-determination, and every government action since federation lacks legal validity.
