The CHILD Studies Podcast: Promoting Healthy Kids and Parents episodes

  • Introduction to the CHILD Studies Podcast

Welcome to the CHILD Studies Podcast: Promoting Healthy Kids and Parents. This podcast is dedicated to unravelling the fascinating world of children's growth and development. We will dive deep into the science behind early experiences and their lifelong impact on health and well-being.

Since its establishment in 2003, the CHILD Studies Lab has focused on understanding, intervening, and translating knowledge about how early adversity shapes children's development. Recently, we've expanded our mission to include innovative training for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows in community-engaged implementation science research.

In this podcast, we explore how socio-environmental factors—such as parental perinatal depression, anxiety, family violence, and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs)—influence children's mental health and development. Our goal is to promote system changes that improve the lives of children and families through cutting-edge research, intervention strategies, and knowledge translation.

Join us as we uncover the latest research, test interventions, and share insights with experts in the field.
