Five years has passed since Barry and Honey Sherman were found strangled and tied to a railing with belts in their Toronto mansion. They were philanthropists at heart, but the patriarch was a cut-throat businessman who seemed to enjoy suing others for fun. Many people wanted him dead but that doesn't mean they would commit a double murder. On this episode of Drowning Verdict, I study the words quoted and run the numbers for this unusual mystery that I don't think has any answers coming. Next, I give you my reasons. #coldcase #unsolved
*Key pieces of information in this episode are taken from published articles in the Toronto Sun, CNN and other news outlets. Only the murdered couple is mentioned by name. This is an on-going investigation and anyone with information related to the case should contact Toronto police. The episode is intended for entertainment purposes only.
Is there something more than meets the camera eye to this unsolved double homicide? Nineteen years is a long time to wait for justice. In Part One of The Stargazers I traveled back 30 years from the time of the crime to find any reasons worth mentioning. Now, in the second part, I take the facts of the case and write fiction as if the story was in my head all this time. Will something new come to light? Along with the pictures of the murdered couple from a disposable camera was a photo of a compact fluorescent light that has baffled police. A CFL illuminates in the same way as the stars in the sky: through a reaction. Learn why I say the killer was there that night and why a video camera was taken yet the best selling vehicle in the history of America was left behind. It's my intention to shed light on any possibilities that may arise in the mysterious execution of Lisa and Brandon. #unsolved

It's now December and the slayings of four college students in Moscow, ID is getting cold. With so many students at risk, the cops would be acting on tips if there was something legitimate to investigate. But the case looks as cold as the Idaho weather. On Drowning Verdict I discuss something that one of the victim's parents had said to the media. This one line summed it up for me, and I think it's why the killer had a primary target as well as secondary ones. Next, I give you my reasons. #IdahoStudents
On Friday, October 17th 2003, a young couple, Lisa and Brandon, drove out a remote area called Sunset Point in Yavapai County, Arizona to celebrate their one year dating anniversary by stargazing. Before the sunrise they were dead, shot multiple times in the head while tucked in their sleeping bags. The were found in the bed of their Ford F150 truck. Nineteen years later and the double homicide is still a mystery. In the first part of this two part series I examine the crime, taking you back 30 years from that starry night to learn about a motive. In part two (12/6/22) I describe a scenario of mine based on the facts of this case and the fiction I would write. It's my intention to shed light on any new possibilities that may lead to more information. *This episode includes dramatized parts that some listeners might find disturbing. Listener discretion is advised. #unsolved
