Hardee Schmidt was a wife and a mother; she was also an avid runner. One fateful day in 1999, Hardee ran across serial killer Sean Gillis. Actually, Gillis had been stalking her for weeks so it was no coincidence when he took his car and ran her into a ditch. This is her Telling on Drowning Verdict.

Alex Murdaugh resigned from his law firm recently, citing rehab as a reason for his decision. Long used as a tactic to escape scrutiny, rehab retreats have sheltered many high profile people, keeping them at an arms-length from the law. I've said before that I don't believe the father could kill the son, even though Alex is looking more like a person of interest due to his strange behavior. Next on Drowning Verdict, I talk about the recent incident on the side of the road and why a lawyer changing his own tire is more odd to me than being shot in the head and surviving. Do I want to go to rehab? Only if I don't want to speak to people who view me less like a person and more like roadkill.

Suzanne Morphew has been missing for over a year now. Those closest to her missing persons case say she is no longer above ground. Her husband was subsequently arrested and charged with her murder. Twenty years and eighty miles separate Suzanne from Sharon Garrison, who was killed by her husband inside of their Breckenridge, CO home. She was found buried on the property after investigators kept digging for the wife and mother who had threatened divorce. Next on Drowning Verdict, I talk about the similarities between the two Colorado cases and the chances of Suzanne's body ever being found.
Was Paul Murdaugh given special treatment in the hours after a boating accident that killed Mallory Beach? Reports say he was behind the wheel and that his BAC was completely overboard; and then there's the accusation his father was setting up another young man to take the fall. In this episode of Drowning Verdict, I talk about the the way drunkard Paul cheated responsibility, possibly resulting in his own murder. It's something that reminds me of another case from long ago where a person of influence got a slap on the wrist after drinking and causing an accident. That happened in the water, too; where a young women, much like Mallory, had drowned. #PaulMurdaugh
Sharp-dressed former realtor, Todd Kohlhepp, whose hobbies included graphic porn-watching at work and committing serial murder simply because people got on his bad side--his only side!--won't be getting deliveries anytime soon from Amazon. Kohlhepp posted ominous reviews for items like shovels to use for digging graves, storage locks to keep his victims in play and weapons to do the deed on bodies plotted for said graves. In this podcast episode of Drowning Verdict, I review his crimes and his return to slender now that there's no drive thru for The Amazon Review Killer in prison.
