Today we speak to Dr. Stew Bittman who is very well known for helping Chiropractors love a little more... and as we discuss in this podcast (and almost every other podcast), it is one of the most important aspects of taking care of people. Stew shares with us what we can do to be more heart-centered in our lives and in our practices.
Today is Dr. Shirley Winters' 89th birthday! We chat with her about her studies at Palmer, how she practiced with her husband, Dough, and the importance of practicing while you are starting a family! Most importantly, she shares her great secret to exceptional patient care... 'tuning into the heart'!
Meet Dr. Kevin Proudman who at 72 years young is still practicing 3 days a week in Northern Ireland. Kevin is known for his incredible service to the United Chiropractic Association, which he helped establish. He was also one of the only Vitalistic Chiropractors on the General Chiropractic Council and at one stage he owned 13 Chiropractic clinics and employed some incredible chiropractors over time. Kevin is incredibly humble and shares some chiropractic gold towards the end of the episode!
Meet Dr. Paul Pringle, who is not Australian but has spent a lot of time in Australia and became very well known as the most remote Chiropractor as well as the Flying Chiropractor in the Outback. Listen to his incredible tales, from meeting BJ Palmer on his first day at Chiropractic school to his time in Australia. Dr. Paul counts 62 years of active practice and at 88, there is still little stopping him from taking care of people in Ireland, where he currently lives.
Join Lizette as she interviews Dr. Richard Singer. Richard counts more than 50 years in practice and has some phenomenal stories to tell! In this episode, he talks about his time in the US, his mentorship under Dr. Sid Williams, and what it means to be 'in the zone'. What he doesn't talk about (we do need to get him back!) is how he met Ronald Reagan in the White House and how he was the chiropractor for Andrew Lloyd Webber!
Join Lizette as she interviews her first guest and the inspiration behind this podcast, Dr. Ken Vagg, who at 74 and 46 years of practice, has a lot of wise advice and inspiration for us to listen to. If you would like to contact Ken, please look him up on Facebook.
