Nifaq (Hypocrisy): in the Arabic language means the general category of deception, scheming and presenting an outward appearance of good while concealing its opposite.

Hypocrisy is a serious sickness and a great crime. It means making an outward display of Islam whilst inwardly concealing kufr. Hypocrisy is more dangerous than kufr (disbelief) and the punishment for it is more severe, because it is kufr mixed with Islam and its harmful effects are greater. Hence Allaah will put the hypocrites in the lowest level of Hell, as He says:

“Verily, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depth (grade) of the Fire; no helper will you find for them.” (The Noble Quran 4:145)

Hypocrites have existed since the time of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), however there are different types of hypocrites. Know the signs and symptoms of this ailment by listen to this inspiring lecture!

Who decided time was ours to spend at our whims? How can it be that we are from God and to Him is our return, yet the time we waste is ours? Everything we have in this life is from God’s kindness and mercy and just as we have to return to God, so does the gift of time. A lack of correct allocation of time leads us to fall short in various areas of our lives – academically, professionally and in our personal relationships. Most importantly however, as the workload piles, the first thing we begin to neglect is the most important relationship we have: with God, the most Glorious.

Prophet Muhammad (SAW),, reiterated this for us. Time will not slow down and we cannot go back to fix the mistakes we make therefore he advised us to take advantage of five, before five.

- Your youth, before you become old

- Your health, before you fall sick

- Your richness, before you become poor

- Your free time before you become busy

- and Your life, before your death

This lecture describes the steps Shaitan (Satan – Devil) takes to lead people astray starting with Shirk then bida’h then major / minor sins, also unveils the plots of Satan as they are described to us through the Quran and the Sunnah. The struggle against Iblees (Shaitan – Satan – Devil) and his party- may Allaahs curse upon him- is a great battle which this enemy of Allaah persisted in undertaking since the pursuit against Aadam s-saliam and his offspring. He is at work all the time, at every moment, at every available opportunity, manipulating any circumstances and continuing his chase from every conceivable angle. The Lord of the Worlds, Blessed and exalted has informed us about this.

“O you who believe! Enter perfectly in Islam (by obeying all the rules and regulations of the Islamic religion) and follow not the footsteps of Shaitan (Satan – Devil). Verily! He is to you a plain enemy”. (The Noble Quran 2:208)
