Chapter 12 is a beautifully written picture of coming to the end of our lives, which has the guys pondering old age and death, but looking forward to the resurrection of the saints.

Nate, Jon and Josh Wredberg discuss the end of chapter 9 and all of chapter 10. This passage can be broken down into two sections: A Word to the Wise and A Warning to Fools. The first section stresses the lack of control we have over our lives while the second section illustrates the consequences of being a fool.

Josh Wredberg is back again this week with Nate and Jon. They lead us through this passage that they all agree is one of the their favorites of the whole book. While hitting on a variety of topics found in the passage, they highlight the overriding message that we should enjoy life in Christ because of the reality and inevitability of death.

Although the passage gives a lot of practical advice for living, the overall theme is that wisdom is not a commodity, it is a way of relating to God, and the Word of God is always much more trustworthy than relying on our own experience.

This chapter deals with justice vs injustice and oppressors vs. the oppressed before moving to a call for working together as believers in the last part of the chapter. As we examine these themes, we also recognize that there is really only one Source for true lasting justice and freedom.

They discuss the deep themes of the frustration of time and justice of God that are found throughout this chapter.
