The Christian F Word

Today we are discussing the name Allah, the Middle East, and Arab Christians. The misconception about the term Allah has led to racism and oppression to our Middle Eastern brothers and sisters.

After being asked our stance on sin (again) we decided to tackle the question in a podcast for those who have ever been asked what they think about sin.

TCFW is back with a new episode after our hiatus! Today we will be discussing some issues related to homelessness and the false idea that most churches have about "holiness" when it comes to ministry. We will reject the idea of self preservation and offer an alternative that encourages us to take responsibility for one another instead of only being concerned with personal holiness.

With today’s political climate in America the question must be asked – how are we supposed to be Christian and American at the same time? Today’s topic we will discuss the most discussed topic of the last several months, immigrants and refugees, in light of Christ. We discuss the idea that sometimes our American identity compromises our Christian standards.

God is male… right? Of course not. We are going to tackle the age-old tradition of referring to God in gendered language as well as recognizing the feminine nature of God throughout scripture. We are going to theologically dissect the terms El Shaddai, Ezer, and Pneuma. Can we pray to God as our mother? Does God only associate with the masculine? Listen in to hear our perspective!

The church has a long running history of taking important issues of equality and sweeping them under the rug. Today we discuss racism in light of culture, identity, and inclusion. We come at this from a very basic theological understanding with some scriptural examples of how the church should not be a place where race is simply accepted – it should be a place where all races, cultures, and identities are celebrated and included.
