The Beatitudes are a "blessed" passage from Christ's Sermon on the Mount. More than just poetic words of comfort, they are promises to those who persist in the Christian Journey. Today's guest speaker, Andrews University Theological Seminary student Julian Harrington, reminds us that in the backdrop of the cosmic conflict between God and Satan, the Christian journey as a lifestyle (rather than a one-day-a-week commitment) offers a buffer to life in this sin-sick world, as we look ahead to eternity.
