This soft Poetry was written by Baruch the Scribe and voiced by Ngozi Mowah. It reflects on the Voice and love of God.
Here are the lyrics:
Lord i receive grace to pour my heart in words to you my lover,
With no audience but one, you with whom i can be me,
With no fear of chastening from others but one, You.
Your chastening to me is much more a thousand applause of men, while their words eventually fade away in time ,yours build me in time as the carry your life.
Your words form me, mould me to become all that i need to be, You.
I love your voice,
this i do because,
in chastening or in praise they administer Grace to me,
the workings of your grace through your words is what makes me, me,
i love your voice .
In the bleak peak of despair, the whispers of Love you speak to me ,
echoes from eternity into time
and consumes anxious fear with peace, your voice brings peace. I love your voice.
Your voice in audible i hear,
when the chips are down and i find me no strength, when i long to hear words, you respond with a sound, lightning, thunderings, earthquakes, fire, so loud but in audible, so loud that my shadow even my apparel not to talk of the next neighbor miss its sound.
Then i wonder, how could you be so loud and yet silent , then i discovered, your voice needs no encryption as the key of access is you. The you in me causes a resonance that interprets your inaudible voice that speaks volumes.
Now this is love that i respond to your voice inaudible with my life unhid from you who hears and sees in secret .
This Is love that the room of my secret’s secret: my heart becomes the theater where i express myself to you unhindered.
This is love, that when i hear your voice i harden not the door of my heart but i give myself whole in death to your voice that i may receive the life that comes from your love, your voice . Help me to respond to the whispers of love that i may pour my heart in words to my audience of one, you.
