At 17 years old, Kat was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism that left her with an overactive racing heart, weakness, fatigue and more. In 2018, while being at her heaviest, Kat decided to take her life back and work on her transformation. She would step on stage, 6 months later, at the WBFF in the transformation category; as well as bikini category where she took 3rd place. Since that day, Kat continues to compete, has become a personal trainer, and helped many through the pandemic. Kat is one of the most positive uplifting women in the fitness industry. + + Short Bio: Phallon and Kyra Pierce, 14-year old identical twins, love acting, dancing, sports, and activism. These two St. Dominic Catholic School students say reading is a great way to transport yourself. What Kyra and her sister, Phallon, didn’t imagine was finding a book they call racist on their 8th grade summer reading list: Agatha Christie’s "And Then There Were None."; which was originally entitled – Ten Little N*****s – with a book cover of a doll hanging. First shocked, then saddened, the identical twins said they realized diversity in their school-assigned books was lacking. The book was removed from their reading list after they made noise about it this past summer. After finding the racist book on their summer reading list, they are now pushing for a change in Illinois law.

This episode of The Christie Taylor Show features Law & Chaos, a jazz and blues duo, of Los Angeles discussing the release of singles in 2021 including "Missus 2nd Place" that has an amazing music video in the style of film noir.

Short Bio: Los Angeles based duo, Law & Chaos, have brought a fresh and original sound to the world of Jazz and Blues. This extraordinary fusion is a celebration of two classic musical genres with contemporary musical influences to present their stories in a unique and thought-provoking way. The band consists of lead vocalist and trumpet player Nick Andrea and locally renowned blues guitarist TJ (“Thelonius James”) Sullivan, each of which add their own unique spin to the blended style.  By chance, in November of 2018, Nick met Tj while waiting for a train at Union Station.  Tj noticed that Nick had LPs by Little Walter and Sam & Dave tucked under his arm.  A fast friendship developed among the kindred blues spirits, leading to long writing sessions and local performances. This year, Law & Chaos is releasing singles in January (Missus 2nd Place), March (Whiskey Whispers) and May (Motherless Soul) with the release of their first LP “Blues @ Dark, Vol. 1” in the Fall.
