  • Chronicles Volume 11: The Recipe
When it comes to being an introvert, there are so many misconceptions. Those misconceptions can make people who are introverts feel like there is something wrong with them. There is no one recipe to being an introvert. The same way there is no one recipe for being an extrovert. Each of us are unique in our own way. I’m trying to bring some awareness to those individuals who may identify as an introvert. Check out the new Black Introvert Intellects segment, I will be talking about implicit bias for my educators.

  • Chronicles Volume 10: Colorism: Light-Skin Privilege
In volume 10, we are talking about light-skin privilege. This is a topic that has to be talked about because being a light skin black woman, I have seen first hand the benefits of my lighter skin tone in comparison to my beautiful dark skin tone women. • Chronicles Volume 9: Making Mistakes: You Live and You Learn
In today’s volume, we are talking about mistakes. Each of us makes them but what we do with them is the important part. We have to be willing to learn from each mistake we make. I’m sure you try your best to avoid making mistakes but it happens and you have to learn how to embrace them. It starts with your mindset! Each mistake is a lesson and you shouldn’t beat yourself up for it. Continue to move forward and use those mistakes as motivation. I will also talk about being a single mother. Now, this is not a mistake for me but for many single mothers they beat themselves up for bringing a child into a world where they are doing it alone and you can’t do that. Your child is not a mistake and the way life turned out isn't either. You have to get up, dust your shoulders off and be that superwoman for your children. Lastly, I will talk about toxic relationships and why you shouldn’t beat yourself up for staying in one for too long. You make mistakes and you live and you learn.

  • Chronicles Volume 7: End the Stigma
In this volume, we are breaking down the stigma surrounding mental illness in the black community.  The focus for this week is emotional abuse and childhood traumas. It may seem like such a dark topic to focus on but it’s something that doesn’t get much attention. I was going back and forth with this volume but i know if you are listening to this you either know someone or are someone who has experienced emotional abuse. 🦋

  • Chronicles Volume 6: Code-Switching
In this volume, we are talking code-switching. Being a black person who works in predominantly White spaces I find myself code-switching so much. Unfortunately, in White America the vernacular you use will determine the type of opportunities you will have. In this volume, I will also talk about the introvert relationship. Us introverts want to connect with someone that understands that we need our time alone 🦋 be patient with us.

  • Chronicles Volume 4: Let's Talk Anxiety
Volume 4, we are talking all things Anxiety. I want to bring awareness, while destroying this insane stigma that black woman should always be strong or fearless. That we can’t be vulnerable or show too much emotion because it makes us look weak or angry. Anxiety isn’t something that can just go away and be swept under the rug. In this volume, I have a PSA about knowing your worth.
