The Holy Spirit is always raining. All around us. Even right now. The problem is, we often don't recognize, see, or feel the rain because we've dawned our spiritual rain jackets. We've clothed ourselves with a barrier that causes the Holy Spirit to roll right off. And it robs us of inspiration.

Inspiration is a three-part journey. It first takes a willingness to listen to our Creator. Then you have to trust what you're being told. And finally, you have to translate that faith into action.

In 1 Kings, Elijah has an incredibly inspiring moment where he is used to show the power of God. But just a few short verses later, he is on the run and lacking trust. This vivid story shows us that staying inspired requires constant contact with God. Just because we've been inspired in the past, doesn't mean we're inspired right now.

God inspires the most unlikely people who've reached their breaking point to do the most unlikely things for His glory.

There are millions of ideas to live by, but only God's are inspired! That means we can't stay where life has led us and that we need to leave and move when God says "Go!" Again, we are given the choice to stay in our wounding and walk toward our failing, or live inspired and follow Jesus!

There are lots of ways to express our thoughts in our modern world. That Facebook post, text, or tweet are easy to fire off without thinking twice about the weight they could carry. On the other hand, God's thoughts bring light and life to the world. So how do we line up our thoughts with God's? Pastor Drew Shofner gives us three things to look for in a "God thought" and how to start choosing His thoughts over ours.
