Culture is not chasing the church; the church is chasing the culture. Where have we failed? This may explain why many churches hire and stage a model celebrity pastor, a worship leader star, and a Grammy-sounding team to draw attendance numbers. But is this truly the identity of the Church Jesus established? Why can't we be ourselves? Is it also because we are afraid of what the culture may see?
