This episode continues the topic of how and why the Church of Christ is different. Gary begins in Colossians 1:18 and explains the significance of the word "preiminence". He shows that Christ is the head of the Church and not any other person. Gary goes on to discuss differences between specific denominations and Pastors he has had discussions with and shows that they are following the doctrine of their denominations oversight or else positions they hold that are clearly Bible contradictions. There is really no surprise that this occurs. A prominent position held by many is that every denomination removes and/or adds verses to the Bible so they can teach their own brand of Christianity. Though not surprising it is appalling! It is no casual thing to delete or add to God's Word. Would you agree? If it is o.k. then one passage one would have to remove is Revelation 22:18-19. This passage condemns anyone who adds to or takes away from the Bible! Let that not be us!
