The month of November is Men's Mental Health Month.  Minister La La is sitting down with people that identify as men to discuss men's mental health, expectations, healing, and self-care practices to help them learn to celebrate their fabulosity.

In this episode Minister La La sits down with his long time friend Rusty Cummings (he/him).  Rusty is a retired gay man living in Palm Springs with his husband of 44 years!  They talk about how living in a place like Palm Springs as a gay man has really been a mental health blessing.  They discuss what he does to experience fabulosity and a very touching moment with his mother.

Minister La La is joined by a returning guest Tara Lipsyncki (they/them).  Tara just published her first book, a children's book, called A Letter from The  Queen.  Tara reads us the book and then talks about it's meaning, it's background and some small insights into the book.  While this episode was really to discuss the book, the book accomplished with us, what Tara hopes it does with its readers...starts a conversation!
Tara and I took a journey to talk about the current state of the world, the attacks on draq queens, transgender community, and the LGBTQ+ community as a whole.  That lead us to a discussion on allyship and the difficulties of being an ally.

It’s more than a crown and a title its a passion! Finding your fabulosity when finding and enjoying your passion is truly a royal experience!

Introduction  

Minister La La virtually sits down with his long time friend Royal Court of the Golden Spike Empire’s Emperor 22 Jeff Kosewski as they discuss how he found his passion and purpose in life which has helped him enjoy and experience his fabulosity!

Jeff Kosewski, pronouns, he/him/his, hails originally from Seattle, WA, living in Salt Lake City, Utah from 1993-2000, now residing in Austin, Texas. Jeff has held several LGBTQ+ leadership positions, the most current being President-Elect of AECOM’s Pride Americas Employee Resource Group, where Jeff has worked for over 30 years, currently as a Senior Manager of Regulatory Compliance in the Government Accounting & Compliance team. Minister La La and Jeff first met in the Salt Lake Goodtime Bowling League and were instantly drawn to one another’s energy and passion for the LGBTQ+ community.

Whether she is serving looks, serving some sass, or serving the community you can always know that it comes from a sense of love and spreading fabulosity.  Minister La La and Kylie Minono talk about her journey and delve into her love of working in non-profits, allyship, and her love of just serving others!  Oh ,and how can you not love when she serves that laugh!

Kylie Minono, based in San Francisco, was elected Grand Duchess 39 with the Grand Ducal Council of San Francisco and has helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities. She is also a highly sought-after entertainer throughout California and was crowned Miss Star Search 2015. Known for her generosity and kindness, many have referred to her as “San Francisco’s Sweetheart.” The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence have sainted her - “Saint Huggable Grand Duchess of the Bulging Purse, Fundraiser Extraordinaire.” In her professional life she works in the nonprofit sector in fundraising and philanthropic services. She has served on the board of directors for Folsom Street Events and the GLBT Historical Society. 

She is also single and likes slow romantic walks to the refrigerator. The movie Dumpling was inspired by her life and she is happy to show any chubby chasers listening why it’s called ASSphyxiation. Please welcome the queen with a heart of good and frequent flier miles to her loca clinic, KYLIE MINONO!

Introduction: There is a misconception out there that drag artists and members of the LGBTQ+ community are not spiritual humans.  That they have all turned their back on everything spiritual.  Well, Bonnie Violet is here to dispel that myth and even change that narrative that drag in itself is a spiritual experience to some.  And through that experience shines ones fabulosity.

Bonnie Violet is a trans femme genderqueer spiritual drag artist and digital chaplain. YouTuber & Host of a queer chaplain podcast with such series as Drag & Spirituality, TranSpirit & Faith Leaders. Co-host of Splintered Grace with her conservative Christian aunt & At the CCC recovery podcast. Creator & Founder of Allies Linked for the Prevention of HIV & AIDS (a.l.p.ha.) & the annual Drag & Spirituality Summit.

Bonnie Violet shares her experience strength and hope with HIV for 24 years, recovering from drugs, alcohol, and sexual assault among other things for 14 years in classrooms, community centers, churches, online and pretty much anywhere else she is invited.

As, a queer chaplain, she is present with people in death and dying to self by helping to lace one’s narrative with a spiritual thread to remind one of their resilience, strengthen faith in self and create serenity in the now and instill hope for their future.

Minister La La and Bonnie Violet discuss the journey of spirituality of queer people and the changes they face and they understand and confront the realities of life ahead of them vs the journey that was laid out before them by society, culture, and family.  
They dig into Bonnie Violet's journey of coming out, being diagnosed with HIV and drug and alcohol abuse and how she was able to overcome those and how she sees those experiences as what has made her into who she is today.  That the challenges that she has been given as a queer person in this world and her struggles with addiction has amplified her purpose in life to help others and use her experience to save others in their journey.  
They discuss grace, fabulosity and the joys of serving others throughout this very vulnerable and deep conversation about being queer, a drag artist, and still spiritual no matter where you are in your spiritual beliefs.

In this episode Minister La La pays tribute to his mother and some of the lessons she shared with him in his life.  His mother passed away several years ago and he recorded this on her birthday.  He speaks of how she was his biggest cheerleader.  He talks about the things that brought his mother the experience of fabulosity in her life.  He shares how she taught him his most important life lesson and their final conversation.

Minister La La sits down and speaks with the first Drag Queen ordained with The Church of Fabulosity.  They speak about their history as a drag queen, what fabulosity means to them and why they became a minister of the church.

Tara Lipsyncki is an activist first, and a drag artist second. They have been a staple in the Utah drag scene for years as an emcee and performer. The past year Tara has focused on activism for rural and small town queer communities; holding events and shows in Vernal, Logan, St. George and Rock Springs, WY. Her children’s book, Letter From The Queen, is being released October 11th, 2023.

As the first Drag Queen Minister of the Church of Fabulosity, Minister LaLa and Tara talk about how Tara came to be and what that has meant for their career and how they ended up at The Church of Fabulosity.  They touch on Tara’s realization of their queer identity and how experience shaped who they are today.  Tara shares some deep insights into her family, her beliefs, and why they chose to become a Minister of the Church of Fabulosity.  This episode is full of inspirational stories! From Drag Queens on Ice to Defying Gravity and the importance of recognizing the power of supporting drag queens of all ages.
