Gavin wonderfully got the opportunity this week to talk to Dai Hankey a pastor from Cardiff who in his spare time manages a not for profit company called 'Manumit Coffee'.

Manumit Coffee Roasters offers dignity and hope to survivors of modern slavery through training & employment. Our coffee is roasted by men and women who have suffered horrendous exploitation at the hands of modern slave traders but are now rebuilding their lives. 

In this episode Gavin got the opportunity to talk too Jules Morgan and Andy Bagwell, two of the UCAN Directors. Andy serves as one of the Executive Directors running the day-to-day operations of the network. Jules Morgan is the Executive Director for New Wine England serving thousands of churches across the UK.  A really interesting podcast and opportunity to learn about the important work of UCAN. I loved hearing Jules and Andy's heart to serve church administrators with a desire to strengthen local churches.

It has long been recognised that volunteering has many benefits, not just for the church, but also for young people themselves. However, there are things to consider when it comes to safeguarding the young people while they serve.  Gavin chats with Anna Wood from Cornerstone Collective to discuss this topic and provide some helpful points for your consideration.

Anna plays a significant role in serving these churches behind the scenes. Cornerstone Collective are passionate about reaching people with the gospel in Merseyside area and have adopted a different church planting model to what we have seen before. What's more encouraging than hearing other's stories? This week, Gavin talked to Tony Graham about the challenges he faced and the lessons he learned whilst helping plant a church in Merthyr Tydfil.
