We launched our new series "The Next Level" at The Church on the Corner this week. We can spend all our time looking to go up to the next level, but are we looking in the right place? Jamie's sermons looks at tearing the veil between the sacred and the non-sacred and taking every opportunity we can to reflect the love of Jesus in society. 

Dan's sermon based on the story of Paul and Silas, digs down into the importance and power of prayer and praise in our lives. He challenges us to assess our connection with God; because when we have a strong connection with Him, wherever we go - he goes, we can face any battle and we can truly live a life that glorifies him. 

Local lad Dom Bird shares his sermon "Get Your Praise On" with us, challenging us to thank God for the victories he has won, but not live and camp in them. Praising him regardless of your situation isn't always easy - but it's faithful - and God loves it. 

Chris and his family have been on a rollercoaster journey over the last 12 months. Chris shares how his battle with cancer has brought him to breaking point and how he, his wife Roz, and his family have grown through this experience and become closer to God. 

Jack talks about how we can keep our emotions in check, and the importance of bringing God into our daily situations. Citing examples from the story of Samson and Delilah he stresses and illustrates the importance of allowing God to rule our hearts (not the other way round).  

Dan Jenkins tells us about some heartbreaking disappointment in his own life and how he was (with God) able to grow through that. Looking specifically at the story of Elijah in 1 Kings we see how disappointment is never the end.
