The Church Split

Will and Brian discuss the research and data they had pulled together for the God is Grey interview back in May.  This is an informal discussion as part of the "Split This" series to share our data, our conclusions, and responses to arguments made by the Pro-Abortion crowd.

In the first of our Unity in Diversity series we welcome David Pallmann of the Faith Because of Reason podcast on The Church Split. David does a deep dive what Reformed Arminianism and how it differs from Calvinism and Wesleyan systematic theology. This is the first of many deep dive theology lessons to give our listeners a broad approach to Christian doctrine to help find unity in truth!

We revisit a topic we had covered before with some corrections. We explore the root of baptism is Jewish culture, why John baptized Jesus, and the difference between water baptism and spirit baptism. This is a topic that has probably split the most churches so much as becoming the literal name of several denominations.

In part 2 of our 3 part series, we address if Christians should support the organization named Black Lives Matter founded by Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi. We review how their own claim of being "Marxists" adds light to the statements on their website, their values, and their goals. We address how anti-Christian Marxism is and what this means for Christians support of the BLM organization itself.

We explore Black Lives Matter (BLM) in regards to the moral of the phrase from a biblical perspective. This is part 1 of a 3 part series on the BLM. The moral, the movement, and the organization. How should Christians react to this moral. What does the Bible say?

We interview one of the most popular Christian Apologetics podcasters, Cameron Bertuzzi with Capturing Christianity. We talk apologetics, the contingency argument, how he became a podcaster/YouTuber, and how he deals with difficult conversations.

Brad Vazquez has been on the show for a baptism debate and our Progressive Christianity discussion. He is a Jew who affirms Jesus is the Messiah. He dives into what that means for his faith, how he went from an Independent Fundamental Baptist to a Jew, his perspective on Christian "holidays" like Easter, Christmas, and Halloween, and his understanding of mysticism.  This is what we mean by Unity in Christ.

Thank you to our first 500 YouTube subscribers! This is a thank you video reflecting on what we have accomplished so far, what the channel is all about, how to pursue truth, especially in the church, and how to not divide over discussions on truth. All truth is God's truth.

This is our number one requested topic and its finally here! Divorce is a topic that can split churches (literally what started the Anglican Church) and definitely splits marriages. Will dives into the topic biblically and examines what Jesus says, what Paul says, and Jewish traditional views on divorce.

Brenda Davies with God is Grey YouTube Channel interviews Will and Brian on the Church Split.  This was originally intended to be on the God is Grey channel but with technical difficulties it has delayed its release. We have had a lot of people asking about this and how it went so we are publishing our recording of the interview. This interview shows that even if you disagree about a moral topic you can still have a kind and productive discussion.
