Josh also discusses a critical decision made during the pandemic that forever changed the trajectory of the church he pastors.  The decision involved removing an idol that was setting the tone for the culture of the church that was not glorifying to God.  He then discusses the cost of that decision and the mass fallout that followed.

It was the worst sermon series that could have ever been done.  It was meant to provide a space for healthy conversation for individuals that had been hurt by the church.  But what happened was entirely different.  The effects of it would ripple throughout the church for months to come.
