We are redeemed, set free from sin and satan, but the bible does say we are slaves. But now slaves of Christ! To understand what that means, we will look at the different Greek words used to describe 'slave' and what it says for our own lives.

One of the things the Lord told me for 2023 would be that for many this was a year of course correction. He is dealing with people about making changes spiritually, and in the natural in many different ways. This is about the process and what goes on inside of us as we commune with the Lord about the direction of our lives.

Years ago the Lord gave me this interpretation of Psalm 61 while going through a rough time in my life. He recently brought it up while interceding for someone in our house church going through a rough time. I felt it needed to be recorded and this spontaneous worship version may encourage someone.

Hear my cry, O God;
Attend to my prayer.

2 From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3 For You have been a shelter for me,
A strong tower from the enemy.

4 I will abide in Your tabernacle forever;
I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah

5 For You, O God, have heard my vows;
You have given me the heritage of those who fear Your name.

6 You will prolong the king’s life,
His years as many generations.

7 He shall abide before God forever.
Oh, prepare mercy and truth, which may [c]preserve him!

8 So I will sing praise to Your name forever,
That I may daily perform my vows.

I went through a time of about two months, where the Father would speak to me about things like the emotions He manifests through compassion, and also during that time, a couple of visitations from the Lord, explaining how the Holy Spirit manifests Himself through is. This will change your understanding from religious to New Testament, thinking.

The word redeem/redemption is one of the most important words in the entire New Testament. Let’s look at it’s historical roots, it will bless you, set you free from satan’s power.
