It’s been a while since we’ve had a good catch-up. 

Life seems to be going a million miles an hour lately. Between employment, trying to build businesses, keeping up with our family & friends. Life is FULL. And in many ways really wonderful, but it can also be a lot.

So let’s catch up!  Here’s a little slice of “life lately”. Not a brain dump, more of a casual soul dump. 

Our hope is by sharing what’s on our mind, maybe it makes one or two of you feel a little less alone.  And who knows, maybe if this feels good we’ll make it a monthly or quarterly series.

What is your approach with regard to leadership/leading in a relationship? Do you have expectations?

Welcome back to navigating adulting with The Cinq Pod. In our first episode of Season 2 we talk about our moving out experiences and a few lessons we have learnt along the way.

How often do you appreciate yourself? Self-appreciation among many things entails mindfulness. Just as we need to notice others’ good qualities in order to appreciate them, we need to consciously acknowledge our own positive features. However, we’re often so focused on our mistakes and flaws that we don’t even see when we get things right. Also, have you taken the time to know your self? Self-awareness is the ability to focus on yourself and how your actions, thoughts, or emotions do or don't align with your internal standards. Being self-aware is all about having an understanding of your own thoughts, feelings, values, beliefs, and actions.

Masculinity is constructed and defined socially, historically and politically, rather than being biologically driven. So here are our thoughts on a few of our thoughts on a few common social expectations and statements.
