Another month, another 10 movies that I loved. A fairly strong list this month featuring Kurosawa (as usual), a 2018 release, and 4 films off of Miran’s top 300!

This innocuous 2018 release reimagines Batman in Feudal Japan! And an FML update.

Today’s episode goes through all the Best Picture winners from 1928 to 2017 and compares them to the film that is currently my favorite from those years. A lot of films to cover!

Today’s episode looks at VERY rotten films on Rotten Tomatoes that I gave decent to good scores to. These aren’t the best of the best films, but maybe worth a look if the RT score drove you away.

It’s not precisely a review as it is a springboard. You’ll see what I mean.

There are a lot of well-known actors born in the 1800s that did work well into the mid-1900s. Bogey, Chaplin, Maxwell, Darwell, Laughton, Bainter, Huston, McDaniel, Muni, and Jannings to name a few. None of them are in the top 10, though. That’s reserved for the extras, for the most part.
