Today’s review focuses on the new James L. Brooks film, The Edge of Seventeen, starring Hailee Steinfeld! Spoiler: I liked it.

I break down Arrival, and I kind of break down a little bit myself, too. There’s a brief spoiler-free section, but the majority of the episode is spoiler-heavy (which I say, so fear not about being surprised by things).

I take a deep look at my feelings on Moonlight, which definitely perplexed me as to what I should rate it. I compare it to Carol and Steve Jobs, noting the pluses and minuses for each comparison.

I see just how much of an imprint Hacksaw Ridge leaves on the spreadsheet and then dive a little deeper into the actors’ page to explore and explain the ins and outs of how it works.

I do an immediate review of Hacksaw Ridge, Mel Gibson’s latest directorial effort, today on my way home from the theater. Also, note the different intro! There will be a general episode soon to address a few changes I’ve made to some of the intro media and a whole new category of episode, as well. I go into the newest MCU film and looks at how it stacks up to the rest. Then, I see just how it affects my spreadsheet and everyone involved in the film. Part two deals with my top ranked directors as I continue to try to flesh out my personal taste in film for those of you listening in order to help you get a better grasp of where I’m coming from.

Today, I check in with the two biggest releases of the weekend with Trolls and Doctor Strange. No overt spoilers to be found, but some general and vague ones if you’ve seen any other MCU film before Doctor Strange or generic animated kids movie before Trolls.
