The Grand National is the highlight of the three day festival on Saturday when a huge field of hopefuls will take on the unique Aintree fences over the marathon four and a quarter mile course.

Day two of Aintree’s Grand National Festival sees the famous fences in action for the exciting 2 Mile 5 Furlong Topham Chase, run alongside four Grade 1 races which include the Melling Chase and the Novices’ Hurdle where the Pay The Bill syndicate’s Rare Edition is due to return to the track under champion jockey Brian Hughes.

It’s the first of three days’ racing at Aintree and jumps fans get to see no less than four Grade 1’s, including the much awaited return of both Constitution Hill and Shishkin for trainer Nicky Henderson.
