Any place you find yourself, we are given this incredible invitation to come and drink deep of living water. Our young adults Pastor Stephen Lennstrom talks this week about meeting up with God in every place to receive this true source of life.

Meeting God on the mountain

Primary scripture this week was Genesis 48. It describes the function of parental blessing in relationship to the blessing of our Heavenly Father. The passage also reveals a particular blessing that Israel gave to Joseph that was unique in that it was secured by Israel through a battle. We can only legitimately give away those things that we have fought for and won in our own lives. We need to be encouraged that the struggles of the past have meaning and importance and to be ready to fight for greater freedoms in our life so that we may have mountain ridges of freedom to offer to our natural and spiritual offspring.

Jesus said that if we had faith and refused to doubt that we could alter the order of natural things and participate in the supernatural. Our experience with God and the opportunity to interact with the things that He does is not about right steps, perfect obedience, flawless holiness… it is about faith in Him. Hebrews 11 tells us that those who come to God must believe that He exists (that He is personal, loving and involved with our lives individually) and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. The greatest reward we get when we set our hearts to seek Jesus, is Jesus; His love, peace, presence, His goodness, His power and His wisdom.

This week is our family service where all the kids are in with the adults. The kids impact every area of our service.
