We're joined this week by Jesse to talk about the writing process around the tracks Fury Entwined and On Desolate Plains, the first 2 tracks off our new album. We will do a few of these over the cumming weeks until we cover all of the songs.
For those of you who haven't heard the album, check it out on Spotify or Apple Music, and if you really like it, tell your friends about it or share a stream link via your streaming service.
If you have any questions about the making of our album, hit us up at ClaimTheThrone.com or on our social media. We're happy to answer anything about it - that why we started this podcast in the first place!
Just Ash again this week, talking some tour tips I picked up while travelling to Vegas for Jim's wedding. Super bloody fun time, awesome to hang out, great to see ultimate freaks everywhere - the best Jerry.
Manegarm at the end - check out and buy their first few albums, they rule. Summoning throughout (coz it's weird talking to yourself for an hour). Stronghold is highly recommended. Claudine Brood - Echoes Of Battle is that other album I was referring to.
Pic is me wearing some of Cabba's skin and a BandToolsHQ.com shirt.
Ash is alone again, talking about his upcoming recording session and his favourite places to listen to and read about music related stuff.
Ps. See the pic for my ghetto practice setup. 3 x old couch pillows on cymbal stands, 2 x practice pads mounted as toms, an old snare drum filled with t-shirts and stuffing, and an old roland kick pad with the electronics replaced with foam. The reason I've gone this route is that it allows me to beat the crap out of it without getting too loud, or jarring my hands and wrists. Awesome for stamina building and it feels like I'm moving around an actual kit when I practice.
Owen joins the show as a fill-in co-host for the absent Cabba to talk all sorts of stuff including home made surfboards.
Ash takes an hour out off your life by endless crapping on about the recording of CTT's soon to be released album, On Desolate Plains.
Marc is the guitarist from Perth tech-death band, Grotesque, who recently released their first album in ages, Feedback Loop. Marc is also a talented luthier working under the Hawkins Guitars banner. You can hear his guitars on the new Grotesque and soon enough on a few tracks from the new Claim The Throne album.

Stu is back from his European tour with Silent Knight, and back on the lodge to tell us sorry suckers about his triumphs and beyonds. Very fun one here, lots to learn.

Song: Charred Walls Of The Damned - The Souless
As I write this, I'm listening to the classical presenter on RTRFM and he has a major "sssssss" whissssslte on his s's and it's making me snicker. Farthing Wheel-essssssque.
I just listened to a lot of this and I can't remember much of the content - music marketing, guitar tone, Carlos (please), and more.
We have a guest cumming up next episode for the first time in a while - check back next week for that one!
