In this episode, we’ll offer you one of the most valuable tools to help you get through the day, and life.
When we’re dealing with an emergency or crisis, the brain will automatically zoom in to focus on solving the immediate problem, which is a beautiful thing. But when the initial shock starts to wear off, the brain wants to zoom out and look at the big picture and offer you all of the things you should worry about and be scared of.
When we don’t become aware of this and allow the brain to remain on auto-pilot, it is to our detriment.
Remember, fear and worry live in the future, so when your brain wants to zoom out too soon after a crisis or while still in the midst of a crisis and offer you fear based thoughts, you will find more peace and clarity as you come back to the present moment and remember that everything right now is fine and to just do the next thing that needs to be done.
Now…when you’re ready to zoom back out for a bigger picture, ONLY DO IT ON PURPOSE, when you can help it. Again, awareness is KEY here. When you can be intentional when zooming out, it does benefit us to have a plan and think about what we want our lives to look like in 1, 5, and 10 years. Because when you have that big picture, you can use it to guide the decisions you’re making NOW. You can zoom out and ask yourself, “is this decision getting me closer to my goals and dreams or pulling me farther away?”
So dive in and start looking more closely at what you’re focusing on. It is much easier to use a new tool like this one when you have a trained professional available to help you look at your mind. And, GOOD NEWS, Kimberlee is a certified life coach and she would love to help you gain the tools to get you through your daily challenges on your journey to CLARITY. The first session is FREE!
