The First Car Project (TFCP) is a nonprofit organization based in Kentucky that is dedicated to assisting young adults as they make the challenging leap from the foster care system to independent living. This transition can present numerous hurdles, with transportation being a significant barrier. TFCP seeks to tackle this issue head-on by offering these individuals a safe and dependable vehicle. Through a collaborative effort with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, TFCP ensures that recipients not only receive a vehicle but also the necessary training to upkeep and service it. With each car granted, we are not just providing transportation, but also opening up a world of possibilities and opportunities for these deserving individuals.

We are excited to welcome Stephen Cox! A professional racing driver competing in the World Racing League sports car series, the Champcar Endurance Series, and the Super Cup Stock Car Series.

Beyond the track, Stephen serves as a television host and CEO of Sopwith Motorsports Television Productions. You will recognize his voice for years on many automotive car programs, and motor spots journalism. He also built a really awesome car, listen and find out!

Recognized as one of the sport’s most versatile drivers, Stephen has competed across an extraordinary range of disciplines—racing on both asphalt and dirt, navigating road courses and ovals, and driving everything from open-wheel cars to stock cars. He has even taken on the top tier of off-road desert racing. More impressively, Cox has achieved championships, victories, poles, or top-ten finishes in every category he has entered.

We are excited to welcome back automotive design student Colby Masterson, as he describes year two of automotive design school. Also joining us direct from Detroit is Colby's CCS automotive design instructor Jason White to share his experience and perspective of automotive design and methodology. The conversation on processes and practice for the hands on experience to creating and designing a car are discussed and what goes into growing an automotive designer.
