In this episode I talk about the how and why of documenting misbehavior. Disclaimer: No one goes into education because they live behavior problems! Nevertheless, a good teacher knows how to handle those kids, and it’s usually only one or two, who have the potential to wreck the rest of the class. It has been a wild ride to do a podcast for a year, and I’m hoping that the second year is even more wild! Also, the boiling frog is the phenomenon when a frog is placed in a pot of water that is gradually brought to a boil, the frog doesn’t jump out because it is unaware of the gradual change. Similarly we don’t keep good behavior records because most misbehaviors start as subtle, so it isn’t worth recording. The problem is that they often become worse gradually, so we become boiled frogs!
