The Clean Finish Podcast

Welcome back, to another minisode of The Clean Finish Podcast!

This week, Katie discusses the 2006 video game adaptation Dead or Alive (rest in peace, Corey Yuen), while Greg discusses...a table he put together? Then the two dig into Wednesday, August 14th's episode of AEW Dynamite, which saw Mercedes Mone and Hikaru Shida battle it out, Adam Page and Jay Lethal going toe to toe, and so much more!

Greg caught some air watching Turbulence and Ryan finally caught up with a certified Michael Bay classic. Then...we're on The Road to All In! But, how does the road look? Tune in to see what Ryan and Greg thought about this weeks Rampage and Collision, what's working and what's not, and just what in the heck is going on with tag and trios!

Welcome to our first ever series of minisodes (mini episodes, get it?), in which we talk about AEW Dynamite immediately after it airs, bringing you a recent movie and all the talk about what went down Wednesday night.

To kick off, we discuss the movies 'Female on the Beach' and 'New York Ninja' before talking MJF vs. Kyle Fletcher, the lead up to All-In and what kind of teaching methods Jeff Jarrett employs.

Ryan is back! And before they get into wrestling, he discusses nightmare logic early aughts horror flick Dead End and Greg took a trip to the theater to see...Trap! Then, the guys get into Dynamite, Collision, and yes, even Rampage. Really they fawn over Beast Mortos. And more!

On this week's episode, Ryan is (temporarily) replaced with my partner and fellow wrestling fan Katie Stebbins, where we talk the about the movies The Chase and the latest horror prequel, The First Omen, before spilling our guts about AEW's Blood & Guts, Collision, Battle of the Belts XI and a little bit of Ring of Honor's 'Death Before Dishonor'!

This week, Ryan touches on a particularly, erm, queasy Dumplings and Greg lets us know how he really felt about Men. Then, into the 250th episode of Dynamite and our week leading into Blood And Guts. What did we love? What did we hate? Who's name did we growl deeply into the microphone? Tune in now to find out!

Before they get into AEW, the guys give some Criterion recs. And they're some absolute bangers. Just like many of the matches this week! Tune in to check out how the guys felt about the Owen Hart Tournament matches, the overall quality of this weeks Collision and Dynamite, and most important how they feel about sipping on some Savage Juice!

They guys have a little time crunch but that doesn't stop Ryan from gushing about Rear Window or Greg from selling us on what movie needs to follow-up Ronin in a double feature. Then...Forbidden Door 2024! The third entry in this AEW staple. How did it hold up to prior installments? What surprised and what disappointed? And which match did Ryan and Greg completely disagree about? All of this and more on this episode of The Clean Finish Podcast!

Greg briefly touches on Game of Dragons before discussing a James Cagney classic, The Roaring Twenties and Ryan gushes over car-chase cult classic The Vanishing Point. Then, a bit of a divergence from the norm. Instead of the traditonal summary of Dynamite and Collision, the guys discuss AEW and their feelings on wrestling in general. Strap in, it's a wild ride.

Summer is near and we are inching towards one of our most anticipated PPVs with Forbidden Door just around the corner. But first! Greg talks about the Todd Macfarlane adaptation Spawn and Ryan takes a nostalgia trip with Danny Boyle's The Beach. Then, we do things a little different this week, and jump right into Collision. What matches stood out...if any? What do the guys think about the build-up to Forbidden Door, the CMLL crossover, Johnny TV's pants and more!
