The Power of Forgetfulness – Awakening #3

In this teaching, I tell the story of why I believe God asked me to be a storyteller for Him. It has to be distressing to Him that we humans, including Christians, have a propensity to forget His mighty deeds of the past, even though we have lavished every detail in our Church histories, the things that we humans argued about, as we represented God on this earth. Then we have the gall to maintain that God never did anything of importance in the world after the Book of Acts was completed. In this video, I explain what our problem is.

I mention at the end of this video, too, the good news that God has opened a door for publication for this entire Glory through Time narrative. It will be published by Trilogy Books, a subsidiary of TBN, that was recommended by our good friends, Peter and Linda Trost. This open door for publication confirms the many prophetic words I have received about my calling after retiring from pastoral work in 2004. So I am excited to announce that Volume One of Glory through Time will be available toward the and of summer.

Researching the Presence – Awakening Series #2

Introducing my ministry: researching God’s presence, “times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord.” through the last 2000 years. What can we learn from looking into these seasons of presence and power, even though they have been consistently forgotten by most Christians.

In this second video in my new series on the Great Awakenings, I show the pattern of “revivals” and “great awakenings” that is rooted in Acts 3:19, which promises ‘times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord.’ I share my passion to research these special seasons of God’s power and presence. And I describe a few others who have dedicated their lives to researching these seasons of God’s presence. If God is about to bestow another one of these seasons on the whole world–as many people are saying–wouldn’t it be a good idea if we understood what God has done before?”

When the Last Apostle Died – Awakening Series #1

Up to now I’ve used my newsletter to send out stories of God’s power as I have researched them out of centuries past. You can still hear these stories, my Glory Through Time teaching on my YouTube channel, my podcasting through iTunes or on my website.

However, beginning with this newsletter, I will be conveying lessons I’ve learned from this research, rather than the stories themselves. This gets at why God has had me doing this research to begin with. Today I will tell you about the time-machine God gave me, so I could research outpourings of the Spirit during past centuries.

It really has been quite an adventure!

Vision Seven

Most people think that the Book of Revelation prophesies the end of the world. In reality, it prophesies “a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells” (2 Pet. 3:10). The Kingdom of God is “the renewal of all things,” when Yeshua will bring the whole earth in harmony with heaven. Yeshua is tasked with “restoring all things” (Acts 3:19) to the original loving intentions of God.

Where most people think that the Bible preaches doom and gloom, the actual promises in the last three chapters of Revelation are these:

Jerusalem!

When Jesus said to Pilate, “My Kingdom is not of this world,” He didn’t mean that it was “in heaven.” He meant that it was not a “power and might kingdom,” like Rome. The prophets had all said that the King would return to the earth to rule from Jerusalem (Zion). These same prophets were amazingly accurate in predicting future earthly kingdoms, and the Kingdom of Jesus takes its place among those prophecies. There is no reason to think that the prophecies of Isaiah or Zechariah are to be regarded as allegories of the Church. We must, today, try to come to an understanding of God’s unique plan for the city of Jerusalem, so that we can pray according to His will.

Transformed Hearts

Peter’s second sermon is the most concise presentation of the timeline of the advance of the Kingdom of God on earth (Acts 3:19-21). In the present age we will experience “times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord.” In the next, Jesus comes back “to restore all things.” These are two parts of the same story—the advance of the Kingdom of God on earth. The key element in all of this is: transformation. The Gospel is not a Gospel of escape (to heaven), but of transformation, God writing His laws on our hearts, and complete remaking human societies. My “Glory through Time” teaching gives a glimpse into the track record of the promised “times of refreshing.” In addition, it is promised that “all Israel will be saved.” At the end, they will say of Him, “Blessed be He who comes in the name of the Lord.” All this reflects God’s power to transform hearts.
