Hannah Latham is a woman in her 30s who doesn’t want children, and she doesn’t need anyone to convince her otherwise. She leads a fulfilling and happy life and she thinks she’d be a great mum – but she has no desire to be a parent. In this episode Hannah and I discuss why saying that makes some people so uncomfortable.

Keira Rumble, or Krumble as you may know her, has 365,000 Instagram followers. She shot to fame as an early day influencer as she shared her pictures of travel abroad and her love for food. But what sets her aside is that she then launched a number of incredible businesses, showing her ability to have her finger on the pulse and fill niches that reflect evolving consumer demand - whether its Beauty Bites collagen bars or Habitual Beauty skincare line. 

As well as being an influencer, she is also now respected entrepreneur - with one Beauty Bite bar sold every 15 seconds. We’ll talk about her success in this episode, but some years ago, Keira started sharing her very real fertility journey with her followers. Keira is pregnant and has one toddler, but she's had nine pregnancies. In this episode we discuss miscarriage, IVF, endometriosis and hyperemesis gravidarum.

Deciding to end a long term relationship is one of the hardest decisions you’ll ever make. It often feels like you’re too far down the rabbit hole to start again, or, like you’ll be going back to square one. Clare Todhunter and I were both news reporters for Sky when she started to question her long term relationship. I had two big break ups in my late 20s and am a big proponent for starting again. A year on from Clare’s break up, she speaks candidly about how she’s settled in to being single and how she and sees the break up as a huge step forward, not backwards.

Author, radio presenter and columnist Sian Prior comes on to The Clock to discuss a life without children. This is episode starts at the end… You know that Sian doesn’t get what she desperately wants, which is a child.  Her latest book Childless: A Story of Freedom and Longing is beautifully written – but it is a confronting read for women in their 30s. Sian has an amazing career and a good life, but speaks openly about still having the void of never being a mother. Sian’s story is an important one to hear, and it's equally important to hear how she reimagined her life and found joy with a different plan.

Holly Wainwright is a big deal in media. She was in magazines when magazines were Tiktok. She is a journalist, editor and author. And right now, she is the Head of Content at Mamamia, a podcast host, a wife, partner — and has just finished writing her third book.

On top of all of that, Holly has also just turned 50. In this episode we talk about what’s changed from when she was in her 30s. She offers some wisdom, and perhaps a few subtle, well-intentioned kicks up the arse.

As we both acknowledge during the interview - we were sold a bit of a falsehood during sex ed in high school – that getting pregnant is SO easy it is almost contagious. Many women have realised it's often  incredibly intricate – and hard.  And just a bit of a trigger warning here – we are having a very candid conversation about miscarriage and there are some parts that are really graphic.
