On this weeks episode, Jared talks about how recent Democratic primaries have made Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg the top candidates for the Democratic nomination. He discusses how both of these candidates are radicals.  Jared also discusses a recent interview where Elizabeth Warren displays how socialism works. Even though someone who claimed to have money issues and only $6, Warren was proud to take half of the money they had. But that’s how the Democrats “socialism” really works.  The countries that the Democrats want us to be like are not free at all. In fact, many of them rank much lower than the United States on the Freedom Index. Jared shares some of those numbers and how the United States enjoys more freedoms now than they do.  Finally, Jared shares how these Democrats are not really socialists, but they are communists. They aren’t after socialism, but they are after full control. On this weeks episode, Jared takes a look at the past week’s events and how President Trump triggered the left. While there were a lot of important events, like Trump’s acquittal and the State of the Union, the thing that set the left off the most was Rush Limbaugh.  On Monday, Limbaugh shared that he has cancer. President Trump decided to honor Rush with the Presidential Medal of Freedom at the State of the Union. This absolutely set off the left. Major media outlets spoke out against the act and AOC called it cheapening the award. Where was their outcry in the past?  The issue is not that Limbaugh was recognized, but that people on the right cannot be normalized by the left. You simply are crazy if you are a conservative and they cannot accept you. The only way to acceptance is to support the left or to die. Late on Friday, news broke about how the Senate voted no to additional witnesses and documents in the impeachment investigation into President Trump. The Democrats hopes were that some Republicans would break with President Trump, specifically, enough to force additional witnesses. Jared discusses how this must have been disappointing for Democrats.  Other conservative commentators talked about how witnesses should be allowed. Jared discusses how Ben Shapiro said that Republicans could pay the price for not allowing witnesses. Jared gives his take and his opinion on this.  Lastly, Jared discusses how Americans expect that additional leaks will be coming. No one should be surprised how John Bolton’s situation came about. Leaks will happen, more will come out. But Americans expect it and will not break with Trump. Why? Because they feel neglected. On this week’s episode, Jared tells you about his love for baseball. He’s been a fan for a long time, but this week the game was certainly changed. News came out about the Houston Astros and how they cheated in their recent World Series run. Punishments were given, but these are far from some of the punishments given in the past. People easily accept this however, because we’ve become accustomed to lying and cheating.  When Nixon lied in the 70’s, it was an embarrassment and he resigned his office. When Clinton lied, it was thought of negatively, but was generally overlooked. But now, lying and cheating are rampant in our society and no one tries to hide it. It’s a sign of our society’s infatuation with self. It’s a selfish society. Those who are supposed to be “role models” are simply selfish.  Jared describes how this is a sign of a bigger problem, that we lack any focus or concern for anyone around us. We’ve lost our ability to come together in spaces to get along. We can’t enjoy sports, we can’t enjoy church. We simply cannot enjoy anything together unless we feel safe. The issues with Democrats and their policy of free handouts is actually not something that is new. If you look back at Democratic history, free handouts are something they started many years ago. It’s like they have taken the Reagan statement and made it their new campaign slogan “We’re Democrats and we’re here to help.”  Past entitlement programs should easily show us how we cannot afford the new ones. Social security and Medicare have both been a disaster, but this has not stopped Democrats. They continue to push for free healthcare, free education, free housing and anything else free that they can promise.  In California, Democrats are piloting a new takeover plan of the pharmaceutical industry. Rather than working to decrease regulation to help lower prices, the Democrats will push for increased regulation and to attempt to put private business out of business. It certainly makes sense right?  Jared discusses all this during the podcast this week and looks at why he thinks we got to this point. Here’s a hint - our history has a lot to do with it.

Obviously 2019 has been an interesting year. We knew that politically it would be interesting with the new Congress coming in. Impeachment discussion will continue into 2020 as Democrats have no intentions on letting it go. They will continue to pursue impeachment, even after passing articles of impeachment. 2020 will also see an interesting election battle. While some of the regular polarizing topics will be there, one main one will be healthcare in 2020. Republicans have a great opportunity to cash in on healthcare with the Medicare for All proposals by Democrats. We are also watching some other races very closely.   We have some interesting things coming to The Closet Conservative going into 2020. While impeachment covered most of the news for the week, one interesting thing was the ACLU’s attack on men’s restrooms. It’s not acceptable that there’s anything set aside for men that does not include feminine hygiene products. Yes, the ACLU wants tampons and appropriate disposal to be found in men’s restrooms. They claim it’s discriminatory to think that only women can menstruate or become pregnant.  But that’s the truth of science. There are two genders, male and female. When you are born, there isn’t a check box that allows you to select whether you want to be male or female. There isn’t a selection to have a male or female child. You are a male or female, just as God designed.  This is a result of the tampon tax and the calls that it is unfair. Even though these are consumer goods, just like toilet paper and paper towels. The reality of this is that the left continues to try to eliminate consequences from decisions. Every decision has a consequence, and choosing to be transgender has consequence. Sometimes that is receiving praise or support of your family. The liberal left has been focused on America’s youth for quite some time. From back in the Clinton administration, education changes took place that caused more liberal ideology to be introduced into the classroom. We saw the effects of this during the Obama administration. Socialism is now preferred by most of our youth.  They’ve been fed the lies of Bernie Sanders, AOC and the Squad that they have it so horrible. Is it that they have it horrible or that the education they received prevented them from becoming free thinkers and intellectual beings. In the end, we need to encourage them to be free thinkers.
