On their initial reconnaissance Gort & Serena find evidence of settlement on the edge of the nearest 'hot zone' where none of the locals would consider going. An initial approach generates a challenge from people who are not entriely like the locals. Then, a hostage who becomes a go-between, a surprise arrival and ... a 'kill-box' ...
