One of the fundamental questions in football is this: who gets to play? And, Morgan Smith, rising senior kicker at DII Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire, has contributed her thread to this question.

While Title 9 enshrines equality between male and female athletes on the field in federal and state law, application of that law often lags behind, and the mindset of courageously living the values that Title 9 represents can lag even farther.

There is a gap between law and its application.

And, it is inside this gap blurry place that we find today’s guest, Morgan Smith telling us her story through her eyes - the highs and the lows in the hopes of inspiring other athletes of any gender that they are more capable and worthy of their dreams than they know.
