The Cockpit

This week on The Cockpit I am joined by Gundam detective Tom Aznable to do a bit of rundown on some recent Gundam releases and news updates. We had three main topics of discussion,

The ending of Gundam Thunderbolt: Bandit Flower and the news about the AnimeNYC screening, The bizarre nature of Mobile Suit Gundam Twilight Axis, and Volume 1 of Gundam Wing Endless Waltz: Glory of the Losers which is available now from Vertical Comics

Who is the last knight? Find out on the latest episode of The Cockpit as I discuss Transformers: The Last Knight. I am joined by Doug from Animated Action and Ruby to break down this movie in what felt like a fever dream of a podcast. All three of us are Transformers fans but we've butted heads a number of times on the live-action movies. Give it a listen and let us know what you thought about this massive movie.

Za-Zan-Za-Za-Zan Za-Zan-Za Za-Zan. It's time to talk Zambot 3 on The Cockpit. Patrick is joined by returning guests Carl from Ogiue Maniax and Gundam detective Tom Aznable to discuss this classic Yoshiyuki Tomino directed Sunrise tv series from 1977. This is an extremely interesting series to discuss because it was produced before Mobile Suit Gundam and you can see a number of concepts that would appear in Gundam start to be developed. It was a facinating conversation about what is a very compelling show. It's only 23 episodes but unfortunately has not been licensed in the US, hopefully someday it will.

It's time to finally discuss the second season of Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans. Once again I am joined by Gundam detective Tom Aznable and Lauren Orsini from Otaku Journalist, Gunpla 101, and Anime News Network. We break down the weirdly paced plot, strange characters, and hot robot action for you.

Give it a listen and let us know what you thought of IBO in the end!

The Cockpit Podcast is back and to kick it all off we're talking the recently released Power Rangers movie. Patz is joined by Gundam Detective Tom Aznable, Casey, and Kyle to talk about this bizarre relaunch of Power Rangers. This conversation happened with all four of us together in one room as we just let out all our thoughts on this movie that didn't seem too sure about what it wanted to be. There's talk of John Hughes, Cartoons, and hyper-cynical capitalist media representations. Also Krispy Kreme.

In this episode we will be discussing episodes 1-22 of the original Mobile Suit Gundam series, including Doan's Island. Joining me for this project are two of the best when it comes to Gundam, show regular and Gundam detective Tom Aznable and Kyle otherwise known as ANewtypeCentury on twitter.

We're back to discuss AnimeNEXT 2016.

It's time for episode 18 of The Cockpit talking Iron Blooded Orphans! On this episode your host Patrick is joined by show regular and Gundam detective Tom Aznable his co-host on the Space Opera Satellite podcast and Lauren Orsini from Otaku Journalist, Gunpla 101, and Anime News Network.

Episode 17 of The Cockpit is here as Patrick sits down with Tom and Casey, his co-hosts on Space Opera Satellite, to talk about Gundam The Origin II: Artesia's Sorrow!

Episode 16 of The Cockpit is here as Patrick gets together with returning guests Kate from the Reverse Thieves and Carl from Ogiue Maniax to discuss King of Braves GaoGaiGar.
