After a short hiatus, the Coffee Pod is back! This time we talk to Aliaksandr Dabranau a PhD-student at CogSys. Aliaksandr began his PhD in September last year and is working on figuring out social interactions. When he isn't studying our weird behaviour he loves dancing and going to the opera. Enjoy!

This time on the Coffee Pod we talk to Mechid Paiman, one of our excellent student staff members. Some of you probably know Mechid from her tireless work updating the website, but she also does a lot of other stuff here at DTU Compute - even though her studies takes her across the square to DTU Space. In this episode Mechid explains the main points of her master thesis - spoiler alert: it's about black holes - and takes us on a trip to South Korea, where she has spent the last six months studying. In this slightly delayed episode we get the opportunity to speak to the boss himself - department head Jan Madsen. The talk traveled far and wide, from the ongoing science evaluation to the responsibility of scientists and to the fact that Jan is one of those maniacs who go swimming in the middle of winter. Oh and he admits to sometimes putting his feet up to read, although even then it sounds a bit like working. Enjoy!

In this second episode of DTU Computes podcast The Coffee Pod we have the privilege of speaking with researcher Uffe Høgsbro Thygesen. Uffe is an engineer, who works on mathematics to determine how animals move. That brought him to Greenland earlier this year on a hunt for whales, combining his research with his other great love, the sea. Great chatting with you Uffe!
