The Cold Shower Podcast

In this episode I sit down, in shop, with Michael Wahlstrom of Gitche Gumee. His brand was created based off his love and respect for the great lakes, particularly, Lake Superior.

Michael not only founded Gitche Gumee, but designs all the clothing and bags himself. He has been involved in the fashion industry for nearly his entire career, lived in New York for a number of years before branching out on his own and calling Traverse City, MI his home.

In this episode I sit down with the owners and operators of Glendale Ave. We detail what it has meant to go from employees to business owners in the food space. Bray and Brittney specialize in breakfast, brunch, and burgers. They are kicking out some of the most delicious burgers and sandwiches in Northern MI. Luckily, as detailed in the episode, they are going from strictly pop up events to owning a food truck! They will be slinging eats all summer out of their eye catching digs.

If you find yourself in Traverse City, do yourself a favor and see where they are posted up. If not, follow along with what they have going on through their Facebook page and Instagram.

In today's episode I reconnect with Solomon Harvey, host of the solgoodmedia podcast. We last spoke during Episode 22 of the podcast. In that episode we covered our experience as new podcast hosts and gave some advice to others that may be thinking of starting their own.

This time we shared what has changed, what has stayed the same, our hopes and dreams for the podcast and what we appreciate about one another's show.

They also host their own podcast called Etcetera TC--a weekly show that goes beyond the talking points in politics, ethics, philosophy, religion, and pop culture in the pursuit of the truth.
