Episode 51: On April 20, 1999, Eric Harris (18) and Dylan Klebold (17) carried out a mass shooting and attempted bombing at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado. The attack resulted in the deaths of 13 people (12 students and one teacher) and injured 24 others before both perpetrators turned their guns on themselves. In February 2025, the death of a paralyzed survivor was ruled a homicide, bringing the victim death toll to 14. The tragedy at Columbine High School was the deadliest school shooting at the time, and fundamentally changed national conversations around school safety, gun control, and policing.
