Lots of change on the forecast for Team Liscious, our take on how and why the market is shifting so dramatically. Plus what we are doing right now to get back to a full book of lash / hair clients after almost 2 years of not accepting clients and focusing on education / retail.

"The lash industry is TOO SATURATED!", "There are too many LASH artists already, it's impossible to be successful"... These phrases are amongst the most common and honestly, most frustrating for me to hear. Simply because we know SEVERAL new artists who have grown in less than a year to a steadily booked and busy artist without 10k followers even in todays "saturated market".
Yes, today's consumers shopping experience is very different than that of someone needing a haircut in 1996, but that is just life... times change, so does business. We can sit back and cry about it or we can get with the program and take advantage of the free tools and resources we have access to in order to learn and grow our business.
Which team are you on? Crybaby team or LEARN AND GROW?
So many emotions as we navigate through this HUGE transition. While we will be experiencing a lot of changes, one thing that remains the same is our mission of helping you guys along our journey of growth.
Transparency is important to us and making sure we give you all the opportunity to learn from our difficult lessons is also a priority.
Thank you to all of you who continue to support us and we hope you all gain a lot from this episode.
The easiest way to make more money is to increase your menu prices across the board, we know that is not a new or complicated concept to wrap your head around. However, knowing WHEN is the right time and WHAT is the best technique for having those conversations about money with our beloved clients... that is the hard part for many artists.
In this episode we share some of the lessons we learned about what to avoid when it comes to raising prices as a salon owner / service provider as well as a sneak peek into my pricing framework that I teach inside of my Side Hustle to Success Story coaching program.
If you want to work together to formulate a schedule to get you to the price you now feel you should / could be charging with guided help, CLICK HERE to book a 1:1 Coaching Session with Ashley.

Are you running your business, or is it running you? No wrong answer 😂 The truth is, MAJORITY of entrepreneurs are struggling with this one same issue across the board, regardless of how long they have been in business. When you are your own boss, you wear a LOT of hats and there typically is not someone above you holding you accountable.
If you too struggle with this, you are going to LOVE this episode as we chat with our friends Tiffani Mitchell owner of La Belle Studio in Delaware, business mentor for salon owners, and sought out speaker at industry conferences. Tiff has so many moving parts in her 7-figure beauty business and is so gracious throughout this conversation as we chat in detail about real raw truth about how to maintain your sanity as a business owner, genuine tips and strategies for balancing work / life responsibilities.

Part of our F@#k up Friday series, in this episode Ashley and Hakim keep it 10000% on the conversation of setting your service prices. This is not your run of the mill tutorial encouraging you to "charge your worth", we are not those guys. Fluff is not our style, it is so important to us that we share with you all how to set up your business for LONG TERM success and prevent you from making the same time-wasting mistakes we made early on.
Join in as we discuss not only what not to do, but Ashley also shares her framework for how she has helped hundreds of students and coaching clients solidify an accurate price menu that they feel confident in charging.

The best thing you can do for your business is to ensure every decision you make is based on logic and strategy, no guesses or copycatting.
In this episode we sit down with our friends, Paul & Tussanee Luebbers of LashCast podcast to have a conversation about the different options for artists after beauty school, plus some pros and cons for each. If you are struggling or nervous about what to do next, you NEED to listen to this episode.
All four of us has had years of experience doing all of the above, so when you hear us getting emotional in this episode, understand it stems from a place of passion and wanting desperately to help you guys avoid making the same mistakes we had.

What better way to RING in Season 4 of Team Liscious Podcast than to set the tone for the entire season, by sharing some of the most COMMON mistakes that we see from both beginner and even long time business owners. This is not to shame, embarrass or "call out" any of our friends, by the way! We just want to spread awareness to all of our listeners so you can HOPEFULLY avoid some of the headache, heart breaks and panic attacks that come along with these mentioned mistakes.
In this episode some of the topics we touch on are staying sane during the "slow season", fluctuation in the market (the recession in the USA), our plans for the podcast from here on out, reflecting on our strengths and owning our struggles, the newly saturated wave of "coaches" , white privilege, courses that SEEM "too good to be true" and MUCH more!
