As we move through the story of the people of God, tracking the expectation of the Messiah, we come across the Davidic covenant. This was the moment when God revealed that there would be a coming king and an eternal kingdom. Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of the Davidic covenant - he is the true coming king.
