I posted something on Twitter recently...
I had a guy that was talking about a 4-hour commute, and I was like, "Man, that's crazy."
I tried to convince him to consider remote, but he wasn't interested. I got a lot of feedback on Twitter about it...
Some people were like, "You know, remote doesn't work so well, it's better to work with people... it's better for your mental health."
Which I totally agree with - working remotely is not a Panacea - it's not perfect.
It's not like you die and go to heaven. There's still issues and problems to work out.
There's different types of remote. There's hybrid remote, there's working from home a little bit...
There's just so many different flavors of remote, ways to configure it, and ways to get creative.
Some people think, "Oh I've tried remote, and it just doesn't work for me."
I don't think it's a black and white.
I think there's a gray area in there, to figure out the right balance.
