In this episode, Tammy speaks to Adriana Talaba about what she took away from the Training 4 Influence methodology. They talk about what she learned from observing how other facilitators delivered training in the early stages. And her perspective on what she considers the most powerful part of the programme - the community that lies alongside it.
Adriana has a long history of working with people with complex needs, both in the UK and Romania. She has been a frontline professional within various diverse job roles for many years, but today she is a practicing social worker and talking therapist. We are also fortunate to have her facilitate training with us at Taye Training.
Adriana first became interested in training after realising that she’d got to the point in her career where she wanted to give in a different way. While on the look out for a way to apply her expertise to the areas that she is drawn to, she was recommended the Training 4 Influence methodology. She was drawn towards the methodology because it aligned with her own professional values and learning style. And has since, through Taye Training, had the opportunity herself to enable trainees to undertake meaningful learning through delivering influential training.
Training 4 Influence came about because of our frustrations within the sector. Tired of the restrictions, lack of money and siloed working that make it difficult to see through big changes, we started looking at what was already taking place and how we could better it. That’s when we realised that there was an opportunity to make small yet significant changes through the mandatory and specialist training sessions that people were already attending. After many years of using the methodology within our own training company we realised that this was a solution that needed to be shared. Which is why we created the Training 4 Influence programme and wrote our recently published book Transform Your Training: Develop and deliver training that changes lives in the criminal justice, social care and charity sectors.

In series 2 of the Training 4 Influence podcast, our aim is to help you deliver the best training possible. We explore how to make the most of every single second of a training session. And how to deliver training so that it has added influence.
