From New York’s Stonewall Uprising in 1969, through the AIDS epidemic of the 1980s, to the 2015 Supreme Court decision that declared same-sex marriage legal in every state, LGBTQ+ rights in the U.S. have advanced thanks to the tireless work of activists and advocates.
Now a growing backlash is taking aim at these rights in the U.S. and threatening to roll back decades of progress in equality.
Today’s forum looks at both the past and the future of the struggle for equality in Central Ohio through the eyes of four generations of activists.
